Do we need to purchase a slide scanner?

No. OPDX Solutions performs slide digitization scanning services.

What is the turnaround time?

Routine diagnoses are available in your EMR within 48 hours.

Do you interface with our EMR?

Yes, your diagnosis can be interfaced into most EMR software.

What if we process our own slides? Can we use your services?

Yes, we will incorporate the pathologist into your technical lab by digitizing your slides and sending the scanned slides to be read remotely.

If we currently have a pathologist employed on our staff, can we compare our current cost to the OPDX Solutions model?

Yes, we would love the opportunity to compare our services and costs to your existing model. With OPDX Solutions, you will no longer pay for recruiting fees, employee benefits, or vacation time and coverage for your pathologist. It is also possible to incorporate your existing pathologist into the OPDX Solutions model.

Do I need to buy expensive software to accession, process and sign-out my cases?

No, your laboratory information system (LIS) is provided by OPDX Solutions and is part of our service fees.

Will we know and understand our overall cost for pathology?

Yes, with the OPDX Solutions model, you will know exactly what your cost is for each specimen.
